Let’s start out by putting it all on the front street. I’ve never really been a fan of “meal delivery” in general. It seems like every time I try a service, the meals are either too small, not organic enough, too expensive or just as much work as if I were to do it all myself. Can I get a witness?! But now that we’re trying to go to the grocery store less and access to organics is limited for some, I am revisiting the options and I have to say, I’m so glad I did! After combing through all the current options (which took FOREVER BTW), I found some really notable organic meal delivery services.

Consider this list the crossroads of where organic meets convenience. So I’m talking fully prepped meals delivered straight to your door. No chopping, no sautéing, no cooking, no hassle. I’m also talking LEGIT organic. There’s a big difference between a service that says they prioritize fresh, local, organic and a service that is 100% organic, period. One example of this “gray area” is purchasing grocery store chicken.

This list includes some of the most organic options that are currently available IMO. And, in light of what’s happening around the world, many of these companies are offering some worthwhile deals and giving back to local communities which I’m excited to highlight here as well.

Nutrition for Longevity

Nutrition for Longevity started in September 2019 and let me just start with this; they do EVERYTHING RIGHT. This service is 100% plant-based, 100% organic and based on the Longevity diet. It’s meals that are tailored to deliver 100% of a person’s daily required nutrition to help boost the immune system, metabolism, and overall health.

Nutrition for Longevity owns its own 40-acre farm in New Jersey which will officially be certified organic later this year with 100% of their meal delivery produce being sourced from their own farm. Right now they are supplementing with local organic vendors when needed.

Currently, they are delivering fully prepped vegan + gluten-free breakfast and lunch options. Dinner is sent as “ingredients to prep” BUT soon they will be offering fully prepped dinner options as well. There is also a pescatarian option. Protein Breakdown | Pescatarian proteins including redfish, salmon, and shrimp. Everything is wild-caught in Alaska according to the Monterey Bay sustainability standards.

Fresh n’ Lean is “meal delivery with a healthy twist” with headquarters in Anaheim, CA. They put an emphasis on delivering nutrient-dense whole foods. All of their menu options are packed with protein, dietitian-approved and customizable for most types of diets like plant-based, Keto, and Paleo, to name a few.

This brand is Certified Organic Audited through California Certified Organic Farmers, a nonprofit organization that “advances organic agriculture for a healthy world through organic certification, education, advocacy, and promotion.”

Some things that stand out to me here are meals arrive fresh and prepped meaning you don’t have to lift a finger to get a meal on your plate. I also love that they tailor to locally grown, in-season ingredients and never add sugar, processed ingredients, artificial preservatives or artificial flavors. 

Protein Breakdown | Fish is wild-caught from Cermaq Canada. Beef is 100% grass-fed and finished. Animal proteins are pasture-raised, certified organic and certified humane.

Produce Breakdown | Fruits and veggies are 100% organic, locally sourced, and always in season. Everything is sustainably sourced from local farmers.

Meal Plans | Paleo, Protein+, plant-based, low-carb/low-calorie.

Say hello to fully prepped meals from a Le Cordon Bleu classically trained chef. I’ve combed through their specs and Pete’s is legit. Even the bone broth they use is only bones from pasture-raised animals and only organic vegetables, herbs and vinegar products. You can see a list of all the farms they work with here.

Meals change on a weekly basis and are created around what farmers are growing each week. All meals are gluten-free, dairy-free and soy-free. Options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner are available.
