Welcome back to the “Luxe for Less” series where I highlight high-end, organic skincare brands that are doing everything right – sans the high price tag. Today I am so excited to introduce you to Canadian brand; Herb Market!

Herb Market originally caught my eye with their beautiful amber bottles in paper tube packaging but upon further look I was really impressed with their attention to detail in sourcing, formulation and commitment to all around sustainability.

See more brands included in this series here!

Herb Market Botanicals in the box, unboxed

Herb Market is not a full range skin care line. They don’t offer a cleanser or a mask for example but what they do have so far is worth a look. Their products range from $24-$65 but with my 20% code (listed below), this brings Herb Market right into that $40-$45 range where they totally make the cut for this Luxe for Less series.

Herb Market is for people who want skincare made from whole, real ingredients. It’s simple. It’s clean. It’s unrefined. It’s not science-forward. It’s not cutting edge. It’s a back to basics line that celebrates less is more. At its very core, it’s effective, nourishing and a pleasure for the senses.

More from Herb Market founder Melissa Stephanie

I connected with Herb Market founder Melissa Stephanie to get to know her and her brand a little better, this is what she had to say…

“I have always been very passionate about natural health and wellness, so studying nutrition professionally seemed very fitting to me. However, it wasn’t until a close family member’s diagnosis of metastatic breast cancer that really triggered a switch in focus towards skincare, and started studying the toxic effects of conventional products. I was extremely inspired and determined to create a completely toxin-free line of products, while channeling my studies of holistic health into the skin.”

We are small batch, and I formulate all of the products myself. We hand-pour, and package in studio to ensure optimal product quality and consistency is achieved.

I have big hopes for HMB and feel excited for what’s to come. I have a vision for ‘Herb Market Home’ and would love to introduce safe home products, including luxe candles, cleaning products, etc. But for now, I am working to expand our skincare line with a few new products in the works…We may also be adding a special ‘infused’ collection, which I am very excited about!

When sourcing an ingredient, we always aim to go directly to the source and work closely with the farmers and growers. Our mission is to support more biodynamic practices, in order to provide the freshest, most potent, sustainable ingredients for our products.

After all, this is what’s going onto our skin and eventually into our precious bodies.”

Here are some highlights

1.Herb Market is formulated by a holistic nutritionist.

2. It’s a waterless line so there is no need for preservatives. These products are best used within 6 months.

3. I love that each product arrives with a handwritten batch number.

4. On the Herb Market website you will find an ingredient library where every single Herb Market ingredient is described and explained.

5. Each ingredient is sustainably sourced. For example their dry brush is made with sustainable beech wood with a cotton handle and natural sisal bristles form the leaves of the agave plant.

6. All ingredients are unrefined which means they are free from ingredients that never show up on labels like solvents, deodorizers, degumming agents etc.

7. All products are packaged in recyclable glass bottles.

8. All shipping and packaging materials are plastic-free and eco-friendly.

9. Herb Market is also vegan and cruelty-free.

Herb Market faves

I had the pleasure of trying the entire Herb Market line. Here are my faves, IN ORDER. And don’t forget to scroll down for a way to save 20%!

1. Ultra Hydrate Organic Body Butter

Herb Market Botanicals Body Butter

Let me start with this. You haven’t LIVED until you’ve tried Herb Market’s Ultra Hydrate Organic Body Butter. Made with only 4 organic ingredients, this whipped body butter is off the chain. It sits like a rich cream but in reality, without the addition of water, it’s not a cream. It’s actually oils and shea butter that have been whipped into a cream-like consistency. This sits stiff in it’s 3.5 oz glass jar with porcelain interior but loosens and starts to melt on contact. I love that it’s fragrance free and super versatile. Great for hands, arms, legs, elbows, feet etc but also I love using this on my kid’s cheeks and face too. Super moisturizing and a true pleasure to use.

Ultra Hydrate Organic Body Butter is my number one Herb Market pick and with my code it’s just about $25! SCORE!

2. Orange Neroli Luxury Body Oil

Be still my beating heart, NEROLI. I fell in love with this body oil at first pump but the experience just kept getting better and better. This oil not only smells divine, it sinks in like the best of ’em providing moisture and nourishment. Number one for me with a body oil (behind ingredients ofc) is it can’t sit greasy on my skin and this one totally assimilates. Plus it just looks beautiful on my shelf.

3. Daily Nourish Antioxidant Facial Oil

A blend of botanical super-seed oils that work together to repair and restore skin cells. It’s also packed with antioxidants and is charged with reducing redness. This is a lightweight, anti-inflammatory, vibrant orange, oil that goes on and sinks right in. It’s easy to layer or wear alone as your daily or nightly moisturizer. It’s also fragrance free, sans it’s innate natural nutty/seed scent. I would recommend this for all skin types, even those with sensitive skin.

Have you tried Herb Market Botanicals?
