Welcome to Day 4 of The New Knew’s 12 Days of Holiday Giveaways! I have been champing at the bit to share this giveaway because it’s 👏👏👏. We’ve featured My Green Mattress in this event before, but NEVER like this.
By: Lisa Fennessy
This giveaway is generously sponsored by My Green Mattress, a certified organic, GOLS + GOTS certified, MADE SAFE verified, 1% for the Planet mattress brand. As always, The New Knew only works with brands who we trust are making the world a better place.
I love My Green Mattress so much, I can’t stop picking up what they are putting down. We currently have a queen Natural Escape for our guest room, a Pure Echo twin + a Kiwi twin for Quinn’s bunks, a Kiwi full for Cole’s room, 3 latex toppers, a queen mattress protector and I just want more—lol.

But lucky for me (and you) MORE is on the way. My Green Mattress has just taken their mattress making to the next level and it’s even better than ever. Here’s what the brand says about the updated mattresses:
“My Green Mattress now designs and manufactures our very own premium pocketed coil spring systems in our mattress factory located in Illinois. These upgraded spring systems are made from sustainably sourced recycled steel and have been perfected for people seeking comfortable, healthy sleep on a certified organic mattress. These specialized innersprings with up to 1,120 coils in the Kiwi Organic Mattress offer contouring for your shoulders and hips and a zoned lumbar region for proper spinal alignment. With the equipment and technology that are now available in our factory, we have the design control to ensure the most comfortable and supportive sleep for all body types and sleeping positions.”
Cool, right? On top of that expertise, My Green Mattress is where clean meets comfy meets affordable. Investing in a mattress is just that: an investment. When we started switching out our mattresses, we did it one at a time and we financed them to make it a little easier. But let’s call a spade a spade—the hardest part about going clean with mattresses is the price.
I’ve tried 4 cleaner mattresses and I would choose My Green Mattress again and again and again. Here’s why:
👉THE PRICE: My Green Mattress sells its Queen Kiwi for $1099. This is the lowest price I’ve seen for not only a GOLS + GOTS certified organic mattress, but also a factory certified GOLS + GOTS certified organic mattress. This is huge considering there are only a handful of GOLS/GOTS certified mattress factories currently in the USA.
👉THE CERTIFICATIONS: Some brands will use certified organic materials and call their mattresses organic (which isn’t necessarily a bad thing), but when a mattress is made in a factory that’s certified GOLS + GOTS, then every part of the process is certified, every material is traceable and everything is trackable and transparent. I detail out all the specific differences here.
👉THE COMFORT: Their mattress is a firm mattress so if you like that, you are golden. If you don’t, add their latex topper and you are back to heaven status. And it’s not just me. My sister slept on this bed and then bought one. My sister’s friend slept on this bed and then bought one. See a pattern?
At this point maybe you are wondering, why is My Green Mattresses so much lower in cost than all the rest?
I actually had the pleasure of touring the My Green Mattress factory in Chicago and I had the same question. My Green Mattress owner, Tim Masters explains, “We’ve built this company from the ground up since 2007 via direct sales (cutting out any middlemen costs).”
I mean, yes, yes and YASSSS!
