Meet Leahlani! This Hawaii-based artisanal skincare collection is extra in every way. Extra local, extra hand-crafted, extra colorful, extra sensational and extra beautiful. It’s infused with the island’s abundant blooming botanicals, vibrant fruit nectars, and lush tropical beauty oils—it’s so expressive of its roots that it’s got my prana doing the Cabbage Patch (anyone?!). Here are my top picks.

Meet Leahlani Skincare
If the words holistic skincare expert, licensed esthetician, and botanical alchemist mean anything to you, you are going to want to get to know Leah Klasovsky founder / formulator of Leahlani Skincare.
Leah started Leahlani over 10 years ago after her personal struggles with cystic acne. She recognized that her body was out of balance and set out on a quest to find healing. Through this journey she discovered holistic skincare and was inspired to create a line that would “transform a routine into ritual.”
Leah is a pioneer in ethical beauty and one of the first luxury brands to hit the market (way back when), offering zero compromises when it comes to skincare. When I think of Leahlani, I think of decadent aromas, rich, potent formulas, beautiful colors, chic packaging and the lushness of Hawaii. Currently, their products are made fresh weekly in small batches in their private studio on the lush North Shore of Kauai Island.
I had the pleasure of meeting Leah a few years back at the 2017 ShiftCon conference in California. She is such a beauty—both inside and out. It would be a literal dream to be able to visit her studio some day. (Just putting it out there!)
Over the years I’ve had the pleasure of trying the entire Leahlani collection as it’s grown and evolved via packaging changes, formula tweaks and new drops. These are my top picks.
Leahlani review: My top 3 picks
Pick #1: Bless Balm
This is a pink moisture melt made with organic butters and oils that can be used as a moisturizer or a makeup remover (I show you how here). I love it for both of these things and as a 2-in-1, it’s especially great for travel.
But what stands out to me the most is how soft this formula makes my skin feel—LIKE BUTTAH! It’s silky and soft straight out of the jar and plumping, dewy and soft on the skin.
Bless delivers the perfect combo of argan oil, which is rich in antioxidants, vitamin E and fatty acids; cocoa + shea butter to help moisturize and protect; blue tansy to alleviate redness and inflammation; and passionflower oil to balance.
Oh and if you didn’t know, all of Leahlani’s formulas smell INCREDIBLE. This one is no different, presenting a huge bouquet of orange blossoms and blue tansy.
This moisturizer / cleanser is ideal for mature dry and sensitive skin types.
Pick #2: Pamplemousse Cleansing Oil
This is one of my all-time favorite cleansers for so many reasons but let me start from the top. “Pamplemousse,” if you didn’t know, is French for “grapefruit.” And in true Leahlani fashion, first impressions of this oil will hit you with huge citrus notes. This oil smells SO GOOD.
Next, this silky formula goes on smooth leaving skin supple and hydrated. It’s a beast at removing all daily grime, excess oil, makeup and sunscreen. Use it twice in a row (once to remove makeup and once to cleanse skin). This is called double cleansing and it’s the best way to clean your face, in my opinion.
You can use this oil as a straight cleansing oil and/or you can add a little water to your fingertips and it will emulsify, turning to a milky white texture on your skin.
Lastly, Pamplemousse is also formulated with fruit enzymes like papaya and pineapple which act as a light exfoliating agent to help keep skin looking fresh, glowy and bright.
So basically this formula cleanses, moisturizes, exfoliates and delivers that glow factor…like all the things!
Ideal for all skin types. Can’t get enough.
Pick #3: Meli Glow Mask
It’s no secret that I’m obsessed with honey masks. I can often be found making my own or masking with straight Manuka. But nothing compares to a beautifully formulated honey mask like Meli GLOW.
This mask is made with exotic fruits, vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, and stimulating clays. The directions say to leave it on for 5-15 minutes but because I’m extra like that, I could leave on all day. This is a ready-made mask so out of the jar it goes on thick (like honey) and works to draw in moisture and deliver nourishment while plumping cells, exfoliating, stimulating circulation and promoting even skin tone.
In other words, applying this mask is like buying two tickets to Glow City so if you are down with that—hook yourself up.
Ideal for dry combination or mature skin.
