Welcome to the crossroads of where “what’s currently trending” and “what I personally am crushing on” collide. AKA? My Quarterly Faves.
Quarterly faves are updated each season, along with my big “Best of” post at the end of the year. I thought “Quarterly Faves” would be a nice way to highlight some exceptional products throughout the year.
Be sure to come back each quarter for a refresh on what’s hot + TNK exclusives.
Fall clean beauty trends
Here’s what we’ve been loving lately—call it the dish on our latest beauty crushes. Have you tried any of these?
Maya Chia AERC | $86
This ultra effective eye cream just launched last month and I’m officially obsessed. Besides the fact that it’s a mega hydrator (without being greasy), it has ingredients that actually work to depuff (!!!), reduce the appearance of dark circles (can I get an amen?!) and improve skin texture around the eye (thanks to the addition of a very gentle amount of very real retinol!).
The verdict? I saw a difference in the skin around my eyes in just 30 days.
If you try it too, prepare to be wow’ed because The Advanced Eye Response Complex is v. extra and v. unlike any other eye cream I’ve tried. For starters, this eye cream is jam packed with so many effective actives like…
- Encapsulated Retinol (no BHT) to boost collagen production and revitalize skin
- Multiple Sources of Peptides to promote collagen production while reducing wrinkles and plumping skin
- Algae Polysaccharides to reduce the appearance of dark circles, decreasing the intensity of dark circles and brightening the eye contour
- Spilanthes Acmella Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract for instant tightening
- Fermented Minerals to bring on the anti-inflammatory effects
- Vitamin C to revitalize and brighten
- Oleic Acid, Terminalia Arjuna Extract and Lecithin to boost microcirculation, depuff, firm and increase skin elasticity
- Omega 3 Fatty Acids to help support skin’s protective moisture barrier and nurture a softer, more supple complexion
And if you know anything about Maya Chia’s founder / formulator Susanne Norwitz, you know she does not add a wee bit of an ingredient into a formula just to “add it to the ingredient list.” She adds it at a level that is proven to be effective via clinical trials. Friends and folx, THIS IS NOT A TEST!

Shark FlexStyle™ Hair Blow Dryer & Multi-Styler | $299
It’s official. I’ve tried ALL the Shark Beauty hair tools and the Shark FlexStyle is hands down my fave. This is a true hair dryer and styler in one and it’s essentially a dupe for the Dyson Airwrap, except it can work on its own as a functional hairdryer (which isn’t true for the Dyson Airwrap).
There are 9 different attachment options and I’ve tried 3 so far. The Auto-Wrap Curlers are my go-to attachment and give me an easy, full blowout look which is super cute. Surprisingly, the medium heat option is hot enough (of the 3 temps) for me, and is more gray hair friendly, but you can opt for a higher heat setting or lower heat setting depending on your personal hair needs.
I mean, tell me where you get a real hair dryer, a curling element hair styler, a smoothing styler and different brush attachments to choose from all in one tool!? You don’t! THIS IS IT.

Leahlani Pamplemousse Replenishing Body Oil | $52
To know me is to know I’m obsessed with the LEAHLANI Pamplemousse Cleansing Oil. So you can imagine how through-the-roof my heart rate was when LEAHLANI went right ahead and dropped an entire suite of pamplemousse products this past summer. My top pick from this launch? Pamplemousse Replenishing Body Oil; a rejuvenating body oil that smooths, firms and nourishes skin with moisturizing tropical oils, brightening Vitamin C and collagen-boosting lupin seed extract. And of course, it’s infused with that sweet juicy grapefruit, plumeria and creamy vanilla scent we all know and love.
Can they please come out with a drink of this?! A sparkling essence tea perhaps?! Or maybe a gum or a mint? Or a room spray? I’m all in.

Osmia Dirty Chai Body Soap | $22
If you appreciate artisanal, handmade products, the best ingredients, sensorial experiences and all things fun…you have to try the Osmia body soaps. There are not many things in this world that are better than them, except when they outdo themselves with their own seasonal, limited edition drops. I look forward to their Dirty Chai Body Soap every fall which is made with organic, ground coffee beans and the warm, spicy smell of a chai latte via essential oils of cardamom and clove. It also has a dash of pumpkin seed oil to pack a nourishing punch and kaolin clay to help tone and purify the skin. One sniff of this beautiful, natural bar of soap will comfort you right down to your soul. GET IT!
Machete .75″ Perfect Hoops in Gold | $68
Gold hoops are so in rn but they also just happen to be timeless and classic so investing in a good pair now actually means investing in years and years of looking cute to come. I have a large pair of gold hoops but I’ve been dying to get my hands on a pair of smaller gold hoops that hug the ears so when I saw Machete’s, I was all in.
Their Perfect Hoops are the perfect size measuring .75” in diameter and 4mm thick. They are also lightweight, made from recycled brass, plated with ethically sourced 14k gold, don hypoallergenic posts and are hand-crafted.
And if you are new to Machete, they are not only headquartered here in Atlanta, but they make jewelry and accessories from natural and renewable materials via responsible production methods. And I’ve been wearing their large tortoise hoops (made from natural and renewable cellulose acetate and bio-acetate) for years now. Consider me a full on Machete stan.
Sappho New Paradigm Essential Foundation | $54
Kinda my new obsession. I had this on my desk for a while but for some reason, just never tried it. But I busted it open last month to include it in our Organic Foundations Lookbook post and I haven’t stopped using it since. Here’s what I love about it:
- Light coverage that leaves skin looking natural
- Does not build up and clump in creases and fine lines
- Has a seamless application—can barely, if at all, detect this on skin
- Has a dewy satin finish that does not dry out skin
- Feels super lightweight
- Has been tested for PFAS
- Comes in 14 shades
Use this if: You want an easy to use BB cream / light foundation that’s super clean.
Shade I’m wearing: Rosalina
beek Flufftail Shearling Mule | $350
I wore these to the dentist the other day and he goes, “I like your slippers.” And I was like, “Sir. These are shoes.” RESPECT! Lol.
I mean, to be fair, they do look like slippers but that’s why I love them. Take a super chic outfit and pop an unexpected shearling puff on your foot and call it #fashion. Not to mention they are uber warm and comfy as all get out.
Overall, these wear like a mule but with added arch and overall foot support and run true to size.
But why do they deserve a feature on The New Knew? So glad you asked! As far as materials go, the upper is genuine shearling and the outsole is rubber that is 100% recyclable and 40% recycled. Even better? For every pair of beek shoes sold, they donate one day’s worth of meals to a child in need. And we are here for it.
Wearing bronze / black but also comes in honey / cream.

natureofthings Body Creme | $48
New favorite body cream alert! The more I use natureofthings, the deeper I fall in love. Ten out of 10 this brand is ON POINT. I mean first of all, can we talk about the packaging and branding? Super cute color palette, wicked chic typography and the packaging is *chef’s kiss* I WANT THAT status. And I haven’t even popped a cap yet!
So far, I’ve tried several of their products and I haven’t tried a miss yet. SO SO GOOD. But right now I’m hung up on their Body Creme.
Say hello to superpower ingredients beta-caryophyllen, black pepper, shea butter and squalane which are basically a math equation for = soft, supple, calm and hydrated skin. (Also, not greasy). This glides on and sinks right in with minimal effort and can even double as a hand cream.
Plus love that this size is purse / bag friendly and did I mention the scent? Three words: citrus, uplifting and calming AF.
NuFACE Trinity Facial Toning Device | $340 (Save with our code!)
I’m so into skincare tools at the moment. One reason for this is because they seem to be popping up all over the place—and I have shiny object syndrome. The other reason is because every time I’ve used one, I’ve really seen a difference in my skin. The latest? NuFACE Trinity which I saw legit results after just one use.
What is it you ask? NuFACE is an easy-to-use, FDA-cleared mini device that uses microcurrent to lift and tone facial muscles.
Pros:
- Lightweight and easy to handle
- Easy to administer (I like following this video tutorial)
- Does not hurt or zap the face
- Relatively fast with entire treatment taking about 15 minutes
- I saw immediate results
- What you can’t see is I could actually feel the results too (face actually felt higher!)
- Gel conductor is easy to use and does not dry up during treatment
Cons:
- 15 minutes is fast but I wish it was faster
- Single use results last 1-3 days and you need to be consistent to see long term results
- Need to use this device with a gel conductor that you will have to buy on repeat
- You will feel it along your hairline as hair is also a microcurrent conductor
- Price

Dazzle Dry Shimmering Sands | $11-22
Whether you like it or not, it’s PSL nail season this fall and all the cool kids are representin’ donning dark browns, neutral taupes and any creamy shade in between.
Team TNK? We are obsessed with Dazzle Dry’s new fall shade Shimmering Sands. This goldy tan is literally the perfect neutral that leans a bit metallic and goes with everything. Both Claire and I have had our Shimmering Sands mani on for the past three weeks and are in no rush to take it off. Yes, I just said 3 weeks! How you ask?…
Dazzle Dry is not a “traditional” nail polish. It’s actually classified as (and behaves as) a gel so, if you’re looking for a healthier swap for nail polish that dries in 5 minutes and lasts for weeks (yes this is an option!)…THIS IS IT!
HOT TIP: Don’t want to commit? Try their minis!

MaryRuth Organic Kids’ Liquid Probiotic | $14.99
Okay adding this as a Q fave is kind of a tease because MaryRuth dropped their Organic Kids’ Liquid Probiotic and it sold out faster than a rat up a drainpipe. So it’s not available right now but will be back at some point.
I’m always looking for a good probiotic for the kids and this one steals the cake. First of all, it’s liquid so there is no chewing or swallowing pills AND, get this, it’s flavorless. So basically any barrier that your kid has against taking their probiotic has been removed from the equation. This is basically asking them to swallow 40 drops of water. Anyone can do that!
Not to mention it’s certified organic, gluten free, vegan and includes 4 strains.
I connected with MaryRuth to see when these would be back in stock and they have no idea which is why there is no product page for this currently. If you are interested in this too, they also recommend checking out the unflavored Vegan Liquid Probiotic Drops for adults that can be taken by the whole family ages 1+.

Crann Organic Kids’ Gondola Ski Lift Blue Crewneck Sweatshirt | $40
I don’t normally include many kids items in my Q faves but Quinn got this ski lift organic sweatshirt and it’s too cute not to share.
Besides oozing über cool après-ski vibes, this sweatshirt is made with 100% organic cotton and non-toxic dyes and is safe for even the most sensitive skin—and with Quinn’s eczema this is a huge bonus.
If you haven’t heard of Crann Organics, they are an ethical and sustainable children’s clothing line worth checking out. I love their bold geometric patterns, gender-neutral style and all organic everything.
Check out their boxer briefs too which are super soft and comfy!

October 9, 2022I always find something great to try from these posts! I am almost out of my Leahlani Pamplemousse cleanser and am considering trying the One Love Organic’s Brand New Day in it’s place. Any thoughts on how the 2 compare? Thank you!
Lisa Fennessy
October 20, 2022Hi Kelly! Okay NOT an equal swap. The Brand New Day is good 1-2x a week. It’s a little abrasive and it’s meant to be an exfoliator while pamplemousse also exfoliates with fruit enzymes, it’s very gentle and can be used daily. If you are looking for another daily oil cleanser, THIS ONE is another of my all time faves. xo, Lisa
